Pacemakers have a vulnerability
Around half a million pacemaker have been recalled because of security concerns. Vulnerabilities in the pacemakers discovered by cyber security watchdog MedSec shows that anyone with basic knowledge and proper equipment could access these pacemakers and do anything they pleased with them. The maker of the pacemakers Abbot has released a firmware patch that will fix the vulnerabilities and could be uploaded by a professional in only 3 minutes. After it is installed anything that tries to access the pacemaker will need to be authorized.
