Fri Sep 11: Selichos 6:20 AM • Shacharit 7:00 AM
Bridge rule: homepage = router → current weekly bulletin = normal weekly schedule → dated holiday/special-event schedule overrides the affected dates → ShulCloud dynamic zmanim = cross-check only → stale Davening/Classes pages are rejected. Source freshness: ● Green current homepage router + Sept 5–11 bulletin + 2026 High Holiday sheet; ● Yellow ShulCloud generic zmanim used only for cross-check; ● Red old static schedule pages are rejected. Verified Sep 10, 2026 at 11:57 AM Toronto time. Current source note: the event-specific 2026 Rosh Hashanah sheet gives Sunday Sep 13 Havdalah as 8:15 PM, while ShulCloud’s current generic zmanim panel shows 8:22 PM; Torah Rocket keeps 8:15 PM because the dated special-event schedule is the higher-authority source. ShulCloud itself is current-dated Sep 10, 2026 and is used for zmanim cross-checking; its separate static Davening Times body still says January 5–10, 2025, so that schedule remains rejected as stale. ● Yellow — Yom Kippur 2026 is now partially confirmed: the current High Holidays page exposes a 2026 Hashkama Minyan Registration form that explicitly lists Yom Kippur: September 21, and the same current page includes a YIZKOR YK 2026 flyer. ● Red — the separate legacy Yom Kippur schedule link remains stale: it still points to a sheet titled YOM KIPPUR SCHEDULE 2024-5785 with October 2024 dates, so those old service times remain rejected. The homepage Weekly Bulletin router still points to the Sep 5–11, 2026 bulletin already in use. No current 2026 Village Shul source has yet exposed sufficiently verified exact Yom Kippur service start times for this bridge, so calendar times are not guessed or added. Your personal Google Calendar sync is private and is not exposed on this public page.
Upcoming holidays & Yom Tov times
Work Break Planner
Shows the upcoming Toronto/location-aware full Yom Tov windows that may require stopping ordinary work. Candle-lighting is treated as the practical latest stop marker; community practice may require earlier preparation. Minor fasts and Chol HaMoed are not automatically marked as full no-work days because their rules differ—ask your Rabbi for your situation.
Default display uses candle-lighting 18 minutes before sunset and Havdalah 42 minutes after sunset. Some communities use different customs, and Jerusalem commonly uses a different candle-lighting offset. Confirm your synagogue/rabbi’s local practice.
Your selected location and time settings are saved only on this device. “Use my location” uses the phone’s location permission and sends latitude/longitude to Hebcal’s public Jewish-calendar API to calculate the local times. Torah Rocket does not store your GPS position in WordPress or Supabase.
